How to Study Mandarin uses a credit-based learning system to make learning more engaging, flexible, and rewarding.

What are Credits?

Credits serve as the internal currency of the platform. You can use them to unlock premium learning materials, such as Chinese readers and other specialized resources, while many of the core lessons remain completely free for all learners.

How to receive Credits?

Credits can be both earned and purchased, giving you full control over how you access additional content. We reward active participation in forum with credits.

Purchase

At the moment, credits cannot be purchased for cash. This feature will be available soon. Once this feature is enables, Credits purchased are non-refundable.

Registration

When you register as a member to How to Study Mandarin, you are instantly welcomed with 50 free credits to help you begin your learning journey.

Level up in Ranks

You receive credits for leveling up in your Ranks. Credits increase in quantities with the increase of each Rank. For instance, reaching Rank 2 gives you 50 credits, while reaching Rank 5 gives you 500 Credits. You level up in Rank by gaining EXPs. Read more about how to gain EXPs here.

Start a Topic on Forum

You receive 25 credits to start a topic. You can start unlimited amounts of topics. Do not spam or you will be banned.

Reply to a Topic on a Forum.

You receive 10 credits to start a topic. You can post unlimited amounts of replies. Do not spam or you will be banned.

Like

You receive 3 credit for each like on your post. There is no limit to the amount of credits you receive this way.

Do not Spam

Do not spam or you will be banned. If you are banned, it will be for life and all credits whether purchased or earned will be forfeited.
